Dr. Michael Thomas, and the entire District 11 team in Colorado Springs, CO, have done marvelous work leading their employees towards more mission driven work. Their work led them to be recognized by us for their use of data to drive their improvement efforts.
Recently, we talked with Dr. Thomas about how they are adjusting to the new teaching and learning environment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and how learning, and meeting their mission, “We dare to empower the whole student to profoundly impact our world.”
The manner to which District 11 has challenged themselves to think differently and challenge their historical practices in favor of daring themselves to be better is energizing and I’m sure it will have a great impact on that community.
